Using the FPL Income Guidelines, determine if you are eligible for subsidies, advanced tax credits and cost sharing reductions to help you save on your health insurance premiums.
Consumers should obtain quotes from a certified broker. Once you have quotes, note the price on the second best Silver plan. Using the Calculator below, enter in your MAGI and number of family members that are actually on your tax return. The calculator will indicate a monthly premium cap. Take the monthly premium cap and subtract it from the cost of the second best silver plan and the difference is your ACA monthly subsidy. That subsidy can be applied to any level plan. Please ask for assistance in setting up your accounts on Maryland Health Connection(MD), DC Health Link(D.C.) and the Federal Marketplace for Health Insurance (VA). See Income Guidelines here
